Hotel Maintenance Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Helper to join our team at Safeway Holdings (Alberta) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our hotel facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems: Make adjustments and minor repairs to HVAC systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- Appliance Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Plumbing and Electrical Systems: Make adjustments and minor repairs to plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Operate and maintain various equipment and machinery, including HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry/woodworking machinery.
- Weight Handling: Lift and move heavy objects, such as equipment and supplies, weighing over 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Experience: While experience is not required, it is an asset. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team.
The Hotel Maintenance Helper will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with regular exposure to cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment. The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Requirements- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant training or experience is an asset.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling as needed.
