Job Summary:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the engineering department's day-to-day operations to ensure timely engineering design for fabrication shop and erection drawings. This role involves establishing engineering standards, developing strategies for efficient engineering design delivery to drafting, and providing engineering support to estimation, project manager teams, internal departments, and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a performance-driven culture and sustain employee morale and motivation.
  • Provide ongoing engineering support to various Waiward Industrial departments.
  • Develop and implement engineering standards and strategies for efficient design delivery.
  • Collaborate with estimation, project manager teams, and internal departments to ensure seamless engineering support.
  • Conduct bi-monthly fabrication shop and construction field inspections.
Requirements:
  • CWA approved Welding Engineer certification is an asset.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Tekla Structures.
  • Ability to work in an office environment with moderate noise and occasional outdoor work in inclement weather.
