Android Developer Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Android developers to work on a large-scale banking project in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Kotlin, and Jetpack Compose, with experience in legacy applications and migration/modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Rebuild an older application using a modern tech stack
  • Migrate from a legacy application to a new modern code base
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Android development experience
  • Experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  • Strong communication skills within an agile team
  • Experience with migration/modernization projects
Preferred Skills:
  • Cross-functional team experience
  • Legacy experience (5-7 years)
  • Banking or financial industry experience

This is a 6-month contract with possible extension for a Senior or Lead hybrid role. The position requires 5 days per month in the office, located in the heart of downtown Toronto.
