Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Carpenter to join our team as a Senior Woodworking Supervisor at InvestorCentric Inc. in Huntsville, ON.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $70,000 per year, paid bi-weekly, based on 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in carpentry and possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and other office applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train apprentices and other construction workers
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • B build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and complex roof truss systems per provided Engineered drawings
  • F it and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding, and hardware
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate Commercial residential wooden structures
  • P prepare cost estimates

Work Environment:

The selected candidate will be required to work in a sound and noise environment with outdoor and indoor activities. They will also need to use hazardous equipment, machinery, and tools. Travel to Northern Ontario may be necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of high school
  • Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over four years of work experience in carpentry and some high school, college, or industry courses in carpentry
