About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Animation Systems Programmer to join our team at Zeni Max Media, Inc. as a key member of our game development studio. As a seasoned professional with a strong background in real-time animation systems, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge animation technology that will take our games to the next level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop real-time animation systems that provide a leading edge animation experience
  • Collaborate with Technical Artists, Animators, and Gameplay Programmers to craft solutions to complex animation problems
  • Develop and implement animation blend graphs, real-time IK, animation compression, and advanced animation memory management (streaming) techniques
  • Work with animators and technical artists to create and implement animation technology and techniques
  • Develop and maintain animation systems for multiple platforms (OSX, Windows, PS4, XBox One)
  • Act as an owner of animation systems and provide technical leadership to the team
  • Develop generalist experience or prior experience in other core areas of game development, such as AI or gameplay programming
Requirements
  • 5+ years of game industry software development experience
  • Expert level knowledge of real-time animation systems
  • Extensive experience with one or more real-time animation middleware (e.g. Havok Animation, Granny, HumanIK, Morpheme) or equivalent custom/in-house solutions
  • Experience developing or working with animation blend graphs, real-time IK, animation compression, and/or advanced animation memory management (streaming)
  • Passion for developing and playing games
