Job Title: Support Worker - Intellectual Disability Services

Front Line Health Care offers professional support services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, providing a client-centered approach to meet their unique needs. We offer a smarter way to staff selection, providing qualified and caring professionals to deliver high-quality services.

Job Summary:

The Support Worker will provide direct and indirect support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, as required by their personal support plans. This may include assisting with daily activities, personal care, medication administration, and meal preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect support to individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Assist with daily activities, personal care, medication administration, and meal preparation
  • Monitor and support health issues for each person supported
  • Promote community inclusion, independence, and self-determination for the individuals supported
  • Support individuals to identify, work towards, and achieve their personal goals and dreams
Requirements:
  • Completed or actively pursuing a Developmental Services Worker Diploma (preferred)
  • Nursing Certifications such as RNs, NPs, RPN, or Social Services Worker Diploma, Child and Youth Worker Diploma with some experience working or volunteering with individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License (Class G or G2), access to a reliable vehicle, and car insurance
  • Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, written)
