We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing specialized services to clients with diverse mental health needs.

Job Overview

In this role, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, planning, and intervention services to support clients in achieving their occupational goals.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will use your expertise to develop and implement effective treatment plans that promote client empowerment and independence.

You will also have the opportunity to engage with community agencies and service providers to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes for our clients.

About the Role
  • Assess clients' functional capacity and occupational performance using recognized tools and techniques
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address clients' unique needs and goals
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth transitions and referrals
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and outcomes
Requirements
  • Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
  • Two (2) years' recent related experience working in a community mental health setting
  • Valid B.C. Class V Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business purposes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current psychiatric rehabilitation practices and recovery approaches
  • Ability to utilize outcome measurement tools and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
