Estimated Salary$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to optimize menu offerings and pricing.
- Possess exceptional cooking skills to prepare and present high-quality dishes, adhering to traditional Japanese culinary standards.
- Ensure a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and promotions, aligning with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate competitive prices and ensure timely delivery of essential ingredients.
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sushi Chef or equivalent position in a similar establishment.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, including preparation methods, ingredient sourcing, and presentation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and maintain a fast-paced work environment.
- A valid Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
