**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst to join our team at Canada Computers & Electronics. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks, including preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform monthly expense variance analysis to identify areas for cost savings.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns, including HST/GST, PST, EHT, and WSIB.
  • Maintain regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey financial information.
  • Assist with special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.

Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma in accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of general ledger accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, and tax laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate, including proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team and independently.
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
