We are seeking a skilled woodworking specialist to join our team at Savic Homes Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining various materials in the construction of residential homes.

About the Role

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week with a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. English is the primary language used in the workplace.

Job Description

The woodworking specialist will work on various tasks including building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, erecting walls and roof systems, fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware. They will also estimate costs and materials required for each project.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field

You should be willing to travel as required and be physically fit to perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working at heights.

Working Conditions

The working environment will be noisy, and you will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is accurate, efficient, has excellent oral and written communication skills, and can work well in a team.
