Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Helper to join our team at Noodlebox Langford. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and clean dishes, glassware, and flatware for serving areas and set tables.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Place clean dishes in storage areas, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service at counters or buffet tables, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, ensuring that ingredients are fresh and readily available.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, maintaining a spotless environment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely, following established protocols.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, taking care to minimize waste and maintain a clean atmosphere.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives to ensure they remain in good condition.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors through regular sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing.
  • Assist with preparing vegetables and fruit for cooking, adhering to proper handling and preparation procedures.
