Job Title: Industrial Mechanic

Ledwidge Lumber is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and install mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
  • Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Install and test machinery and equipment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Work in a fast-paced industrial environment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
