About the Job

We are currently looking for Program Facilitators to join our team at the John Island Camp location in Spanish, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating programming for groups that attend John Island in the spring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support campers to ensure their emotional and physical well-being
  • Set up and maintain programming areas
  • Build relationships with and be a positive role model for all campers and staff members
  • Provide a camper-focused experience in all areas of programming
  • Assist in setting up camp for the summer when not assigned to a spring group
  • Assist in other areas of camp as needed

Qualifications

  • Possession of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
  • Experience working with campers aged 7-14
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in camp practices and risk management considerations
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
