Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced surveyor to join our team in Kamloops, BC. As a surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting a broad range of field surveys, including construction layout, topographic, volumetric, and legal surveys. You will work closely with our team to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys, including legal, topographic, construction layout, and as-builts.
- Lead a field crew and prepare accurate field notes and sketches.
- Interpret legal and construction plans to execute field work.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Communicate with project managers, land surveyors, and clients.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in legal and construction surveying.
- 3D scanning experience is considered an asset.
- Line locating or GPR experience is an asset.
- Understanding of the BC Land Titles system.
- Advanced RPAS license is considered an asset.
- Diploma in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying Technology, or equivalent field training.
- Experience using AutoCAD's Civil 3D is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Technical competence and attention to detail.
- A high level of dependability.
- Physically fit, willing to work in varied conditions in remote areas for extended periods and varied hours.
- A driver's license is required for this position.
