About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Design and Drafting Technologist to join our team at Alberta BTC Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, supervising other drafting personnel, and developing and preparing design sketches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Drafting
    • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
    • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accuracy
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and lead drafting personnel to ensure efficient and effective design and drafting processes
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements and ensure design specifications meet client needs
  • Technical Skills
    • Develop and maintain expertise in CAD software and other design and drafting tools
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced design and drafting environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Experience
    • Experience in design and drafting, preferably in the construction industry
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong understanding of design and drafting principles and practices
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
