Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will provide specialized teaching strategies to support regular classroom teachers in addressing student mental health. This includes delivering preventative interventions and psycho-social development programs as approved by the Division, while complying with provincial regulations and Division policies.

Key Requirements:

  • Specific knowledge and training in school counselling
  • Ability to support teachers with specialized teaching strategies
  • Experience with making referrals for therapeutic support and outside agencies
  • Track caseload data and evaluate the effectiveness of counselling services
  • Comply with provincial regulations and Division policies regarding records management
