About the Role

As a Driving Instructor with AMA, you will have the opportunity to teach safe driving skills to students of all ages and backgrounds. You will be responsible for providing quality vehicle instruction, following AMA's instruction requirements and customer service standards. You will also be responsible for student scheduling and submission of daily paperwork.

  • A competitive hourly rate of $35.00 (in-vehicle instruction time) with the potential to increase earnings up to an additional $7.00 per hour from bonuses.

  • Our corporate registries team can provide all the information you need with starting your own business to help you make sure all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed.
Requirements
  • You have your Provincial Vehicle Instructor Licence from Alberta Transportation (Don't worry, training will be provided to suitable candidates that don't have this certification).
  • You have a clean driver's abstract.
  • You have a vehicle no more than six years old.
Our Process
  1. Apply online to register your interest. We encourage you to include a cover letter describing your interest in this career, your passion for any particular aspects of the position, and any relatable experience that will help you hit the ground running
  2. Once you are successful going through our recruitment process, AMA will invest in training you with the skills required to be a successful driving instructor.
  3. After the completion of training, a consensus between yourself and the team will determine your readiness for the written and practical examination to acquire your Provincial Vehicle Instructor Licence from Alberta Transportation.
  4. Once you have acquired your Licence, we'll help you get started with setting up your small business.
