We are seeking a skilled Masonry Technician to join our team at JVH Masonry Ltd.

About the Job

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 3 years of experience in the trade. You will be responsible for laying bricks, stone, and other masonry units to provide veneer facing, constructing and installing prefabricated masonry units, and estimating materials and tools required for projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
  • Estimate materials, tools and equipment required for projects
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Build patios, garden walls and other decorative installations
  • Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in the trade
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work at heights
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation

The salary for this position is approximately $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
