Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Registered Massage Therapist to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the success of our medical facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consultation and Treatment Planning: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans for clients, taking into account their medical history, goals, and preferences.
  • Massage Techniques: Administer various massage techniques, including soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, and joint mobilizations, to alleviate pain and improve overall well-being.
  • Client Assessment and Communication: Conduct thorough assessments of clients, including range of motion and muscle tests, to identify areas of concern and propose effective treatment plans. Clearly explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients, ensuring they are fully informed and comfortable throughout the treatment process.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatments provided, including client progress and any notable observations or concerns.
  • Client Education and Support: Provide clients with education and support to help them understand their treatment plans, manage their pain, and achieve optimal health outcomes.
Requirements
  • Certification: Certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists is required.
  • Education and Experience: A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, as well as 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field, or equivalent experience.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to stand for extended periods, manual dexterity, and the capacity to perform physically demanding tasks are essential.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, interpersonal awareness, and a strong sense of values and ethics are required.
