We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Manager to join our team at Brightshores. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our laboratory operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage laboratory operations, including staff supervision, training, and development.
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Manage laboratory budgets, resources, and inventory to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including suppliers and regulatory agencies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure continuous improvement and quality enhancement.
- Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of combined clinical and leadership experience in a laboratory setting.
- Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) and CSMLS Certification.
- Advanced knowledge of laboratory operations, quality management, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science Degree or College.
- Graduate of a recognized Quality Management Program.
- Advanced computer skills and experience with laboratory software systems.
- Canadian Healthcare Association Department Management Diploma or equivalent.
