Dermatologist Position

We are seeking a skilled Dermatologist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Dermatologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and establishing a full-time practice in the community of Red Deer.
Responsibilities:- Reside in and have your primary residence within the community of Red Deer
- Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide services
- Abide by the AHS Medical Staff Bylaws, the AHS Medical Staff Rules, and AHS policies
- Establish and maintain a full-time community-based practice within the community
- Provide call assistance as per call schedules, including full-time participation in the Dermatology call schedule, as required
- Participate in quality improvement programs and initiatives undertaken within the Zone Clinical Department of Internal Medicine
- Participate in relevant Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs
- Contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities, as assigned
- Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues in support of patient care
Red Deer is a thriving family-friendly city with a population of over 100,000 people. It is located in close proximity to the Rocky Mountains and offers a range of outdoor attractions. The city has a well-equipped hospital and health centre, as well as great school systems and libraries.
We are ideally situated between Edmonton and Calgary, both of which are less than an hour and a half drive away. Red Deer has all the amenities you need, including recreation facilities, multi-use trails, and green spaces. The city also has a rich local culture and art scene.
Requirements:- Have or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
- Have or be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification (RCPSC)
- Have specialty certification or equivalent in Dermatology
- Recent and relevant experience in all areas of practice required, as the Most Responsible Physician
