Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate Physician to join our team at the Red Fish Healing Centre for Mental Health & Addiction and/or the Heartwood Centre for Women. The successful candidate will work in a structured team-based specialty care setting to increase capacity and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments for patients and develop treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to deliver patient care and participate in Medical Staff Meetings.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Meet the qualifications and requirements outlined in the job posting.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a medical degree from a recognized institution, a minimum of two years of postgraduate training, and successful completion of Part 1 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination or equivalent. The candidate must also meet the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia's English language proficiency requirements and be eligible for registration with the College in the Associate Physician class.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with mental health and substance use is considered an asset. The successful candidate will also be committed to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada and have knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities of settler colonialism on Indigenous Peoples.
