Machine Operator Job Description

McCormick is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at our London, ON facility. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating various production machines, assisting in routine equipment maintenance and change overs, performing sanitation procedures, and maintaining quality standards by performing quality checks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate production machines to produce high-quality products
  • Assist in routine equipment maintenance and change overs to ensure optimal machine performance
  • Perform sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Maintain quality standards by performing quality checks and troubleshooting packaging equipment components
  • Work safely and follow all in-place policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • OSSD diploma or equivalent and successful passing of basic qualification testing
  • Ability to safely perform physical work, including pushing, pulling, and lifting to 50lbs repetitively
  • Ability to work overtime and in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately complete paperwork and data input in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant mechanical experience, experience with operating automatic and semi-automatic filling and packaging equipment, and SAP knowledge would be considered an asset
