Job Description

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled psychoeducator to join our multidisciplinary team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional educational services to our students. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and community partners to develop and implement personalized plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Psychoeducational Service Development: Participate in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive psychoeducational service that aligns with the academic and administrative requirements of both the educational institutions and the school board.
  • Student Assessment and Support: Conduct evaluations of students' adaptation difficulties and adaptive skills, gather pertinent information from school or external resources, and provide advice and support to school resources and parents.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to draw up and review individualized education plans, collaborate with teachers to develop and implement strategies aimed at supporting students with social maladjustments, and maintain relationships and collaboration with partner organizations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare progress notes or reports, end-of-process and follow-up reports on interventions, and update files according to professional standards and school board rules.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in psychoeducation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A member of the Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec is preferred.

We offer a competitive salary range of $49,456 to $87,626 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
