Truck Bookkeeper

Seehra Son's Trucking Ltd. is a dynamic and growing company seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on financial record-keeping and analysis. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and reconciling accounts.

This full-time position will require the successful candidate to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.

The successful candidate will also be required to maintain general ledgers and financial statements, post journal entries, prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports, and prepare tax returns. Furthermore, they will need to reconcile accounts, calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, and keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in accounting or related field
• Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting or related field
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word

As a valued member of our team, the successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience.
