Job Title: Asset Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Asset Management Specialist to join our team at the Manitoba Metis Federation.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist with the preparation and implementation of conservation projects, focusing on environmental field work, data collection and analysis, and collaboration with MMF staff and Red River Métis Citizens.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with environmental field work and data collection
  • Support the management of scheduling, logistics, and events
  • Contribute to daily work logs, safety records, and seasonal reporting
  • Collaborate with MMF staff and Red River Métis Citizens
  • Support environment-focused summer day camps
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary schooling in a related field
  • Land-based education considered an asset
  • Wilderness First Aid, First Aid, and CPR training is an asset
  • Experience working in open, outdoor environments, in adverse weather conditions
  • Understanding of conservation and environmental work, including general knowledge of Manitoba ecosystems
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Experience working for a not-for-profit organization and Indigenous community is an asset
  • Knowledge of Métis culture, MMF programs, and services is a definite asset
  • Ability to travel and valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle
