Director of Cybersecurity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Security Engineering to join our team at McCain Food. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the security engineering efforts and leading the architectural design of robust security systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Manage the Security Engineering Team: Ensure technical excellence in all aspects of security systems and infrastructure.
- Design Advanced Security Strategies: Develop and implement cutting-edge security frameworks to protect digital assets, including intellectual property, company data, and customer information.
- Configure Security Tools: Responsible for security configuration of our Microsoft Defender suite of products.
- Lead Data Loss Prevention Initiatives: Experience in leading multi-year Data Loss Prevention (DLP) initiatives, including technology and program level deliverables.
- Oversee Technical Direction: Provide technical guidance for the development, design, and systems integration across multiple client engagements.
- Apply Cybersecurity Expertise: Develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
- Maintain Technical Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with cutting-edge security technologies, cryptographic techniques, and the threat landscape.
- Design and Implement Integrated Systems: Ensure that the architecture and security controls meet the business risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Develop Technical Documentation: Create technical and architectural documentation to support enterprise-wide security solutions.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with IT and business stakeholders to align security engineering and architectural strategy with business goals.
- Mentor and Develop Team Members: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence within the Security Engineering team.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Professional Certifications: Professional security management certification is highly desirable (CISSP, CISM, etc.).
- Technical Expertise: Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Security suite of products.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a combination of risk management, information security, and IT jobs.
- Leadership Role: At least 5 years in a leadership role managing security engineering or architecture teams.
- Security Management Frameworks: Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001 and NIST.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies, and policies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the IT workforce.
