Correctional Officer

As a Correctional Officer with the Ontario Public Service, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety and upholding the law. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and secure operation of correctional facilities, while also providing support to inmates and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce institutional rules and regulations
• Monitor and supervise inmates
• Provide guidance and support to inmates
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and secure environment

Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Will train
• First Aid Certificate
• CPR Certificate

Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to work under pressure and in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
