Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik. We are seeking passionate and creative teachers for the upcoming school year at the primary and secondary levels in both English sectors.

Subject Areas

We are looking for teachers to instruct in the following subject areas:

  • General education
  • Second languages and social sciences
  • Science and mathematics
  • Special education
  • Physical education
Qualifications

Applicants must hold a "Brevet d'enseignement", teaching permit or provisional teaching permit valid in Quebec or equivalent in another Canadian province. The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualification requirements if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.

Requirements

Fluency in the language of instruction (English) is required. Salary and benefits will be provided according to the Teachers Collective Agreement of the Board.
