Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Research Officer to lead our research and development efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation and technology strategy, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Technology Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy, partnering closely with executive leadership to drive business objectives and deliver compelling value propositions.
  • Effective Execution Management: Oversee the execution of the product and technology roadmap, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery while maintaining a focus on technological health and sustainability.
  • Collaborative Innovation and Partnership: Foster partnerships with global thought leaders, driving innovation both internally and externally to deliver solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Technology Assessment and Integration: Evaluate third-party technologies and advise on competitive positioning, partnership opportunities, and potential acquisitions.
  • Market Understanding and Business Development: Deeply understand market dynamics, competition, and revenue opportunities, developing comprehensive business cases and plans for new opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or related). MBA strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Hardware and Machine Vision Technologies: Demonstrated experience working with hardware components, specifically sensors and cameras, in the context of machine vision systems.
  • Expertise in Transforming Products to Customer Value: Proven ability to translate technical products and solutions into tangible value propositions for customers.
  • Strong leadership and building effective teams is required. Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate with and influence peers.

Compensation: $191,591 - 260,000 CAD. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate.
