Software Engineer Level II

Remote, Toronto | Full-Time

Salary Range: $125,000-$135,000 CAD

Zonda Home Canada is a leading innovator in the housing industry, and we're seeking a talented Software Engineer Level II to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge software applications.

About the Role

This mid-level position requires a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills. As a Software Engineer Level II, you will work closely with senior engineers and contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing high-quality software solutions following coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborating with senior engineers to understand software requirements and translate them into technical designs.
  • Writing clean, efficient, and scalable code, considering performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with product managers and designers to refine software requirements and specifications.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, working on scalable web applications or enterprise software.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Proficiency in Angular along with Google Maps API.
  • Proficiency in NgRx.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, version control systems, and issue tracking tools.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) is a plus.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
