Job Overview

Estimated Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $70,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing Patients: You will be responsible for preparing patients for dental examinations, which includes explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing reassurance.
  • Administrative Tasks: You will perform various administrative functions for the dental laboratory, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as required.
  • Dental Instrument Preparation: You will prepare dental instruments and filling materials, ensuring that they are clean, sterile, and ready for use.
  • Infection Control: You will sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Patient Education: You will educate patients concerning oral hygiene, providing them with personalized advice and guidance.
  • Intra-oral Duties: You will perform intra-oral duties, including taking X-rays, recording dental procedures, and conducting follow-up assessments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year is required.
  • Work Experience: You must have 1 to less than 7 months of relevant work experience.
  • Registration: Registration with provincial or territorial authorities is mandatory.
  • Skills: You must possess excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
