About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Healthcare Social Worker to join our interdisciplinary team. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will provide collaborative, holistic care to patients on the primary to quaternary care continuum.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a recognized university and current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. A minimum of 2 years' post-BSW related clinical experience is required, with previous experience working in a community-based setting being an asset.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with community partners
  • Demonstrated ability to use a client-/family-centered approach and familiarity with various evidence-based treatment approaches
  • Ability to complete biopsychosocial assessments and provide effective time management and disciplined self-organization
  • Valid Nova Scotia Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French and Mi'kmaw preferred

Hours
  • Permanent full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Travel to various sites required
Compensation and Incentives

$33.96 - $42.89 Hourly
