Job OverviewThis part-time position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about teaching math and science to high school students. As an Academic Mentor at our Woodbridge location, you will work closely with students to help them overcome academic challenges and reach their full potential.
ResponsibilitiesYour key responsibilities as an Academic Mentor include:
- Teaching up to three students at a time in math and science subjects
- Implementing our proprietary methodologies and philosophies to create engaging and effective lesson plans
- Communicating regularly with students and parents to ensure progress and address any concerns
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and providing regular updates to parents
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, physics, chemistry)
- Experience teaching or tutoring math and science at a high school level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong understanding of current curriculum standards and requirements
