Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our survey operations group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising the checking and testing of survey equipment and software, coordinating mobilization activities, and managing project work scope. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing project procedures, adhering to contractual aspects, and communicating with project managers and client representatives.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. You must possess a strong understanding of survey data flow, quality control processes, and operational capability requirements. A post-secondary education in hydrographic survey or geomatics degree is preferred, along with at least three years of experience as a senior surveyor. Proficiency in Microsoft packages and document control systems is also essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the mobilization of survey equipment and software on vessel.
  • Develop project procedures and assist in project preparation.
  • Manage project work scope and adhere to contractual aspects of the project offshore.
  • Ensure personnel meet company requirements for operational capability, competence, health, and safety.
  • Communicate daily with project manager.
  • Liaise with client representatives and senior vessel/ROV crew.
