About the Role

This position is part of Scotiabank's data team, focused on delivering large-scale data warehouse projects. As an ETL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying these projects from end to end.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will champion a customer-focused culture, deepen client relationships, and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • You will build best-in-class ETL solutions, working closely with Product Owners, Developers, Scrum Masters, Project Management, and Stakeholders.
  • You will analyze complex business rules and logic, translating them into technical implementations.
  • You will perform data wrangling to merge disjointed data sources and implement complex data transformation.
Requirements
  • You must have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or related field.
  • You should have 5-10 years of experience in designing, developing, and deployment of large-scale data warehouse projects from end to end.
  • You need expert knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL Scripting: 5-10 years.
  • You require expert knowledge working with SQL Server SSIS, Integration Services Catalog, and project deployment – 5+ years.
  • You must have experience working with Agile methodology – 5+ years.
  • You should have experience working with BitBucket or TFS, and creating DevOps pipeline – 5+ years.
  • You must have expertise in working with ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory to efficiently ingest and transform data from multiple sources into Azure SQL Database -5+ years.
  • You should have experience in Salesforce integration and configuration.
  • You should have working knowledge of dimensional data modeling methodology.
  • You need strong English verbal and written communication skills.

Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
