We are seeking an experienced High-Rise Residential Cost Analysis professional to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6+ years of experience in the role and proven experience in estimating residential high-rise projects in Canada. They will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with project teams to ensure financial efficiency and feasibility. This includes working closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to optimize cost-effective solutions and provide cost analysis and value engineering recommendations during contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential high-rise projects, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Analyze project drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine scope and pricing.
- Conduct market research to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial efficiency and feasibility.
- Assess project risks and develop contingency plans to manage cost fluctuations.
- Prepare and present budget reports, bid proposals, and cost breakdowns to senior management.
- Stay updated with industry trends, building codes, and local regulations to ensure compliance.
- Provide cost analysis and value engineering recommendations during contract negotiations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience as a High-Rise Residential Cost Analysis professional.
- Proven experience in estimating residential high-rise projects in Canada.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost structures.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift, ProEst, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural plans, and engineering drawings.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
