Edison College Canada is seeking a qualified instructor to teach in our Health Sciences program. As a Clinical Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering instruction that meets the course competencies and program objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver instruction that meets the course competencies and program objectives.
- Evaluate student performance in a timely manner.
- Enhance the program by leveraging industry contacts for the benefit of students' practical training and employment.
- As a Clinical Instructor, you will be responsible for taking students on a Multi-Level/complex Care Practicum.
- Current unrestricted full registration as a licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, or registered psychiatric nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners.
- Two or more years of full-time Canadian nursing experience with relevant knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system.
- Evidence of completion of course work in Indigenous cultural safety and humility.
- Nursing work experience in working with older adults with complex health needs.
- Experience or orientation in-home support and multi-level/complex care.
- Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction.
- Interest in pedagogical and multi-modal education approaches.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
