We are committed to providing high-quality data services that support our organization's objectives. As Senior Specialist, Data Risk Governance, you will play a critical role in leading the evolution of our data capabilities and ensuring that our data strategy is aligned with organizational goals.

Your Role

You will be responsible for executing ongoing monitoring, testing, evaluating, and reporting on data risk, controls, and guideline requirements. This involves collaborating with the data community to ensure appropriate risk awareness, identification, and monitoring. You will also recommend and assist in implementing risk indicators and outcome targets to enhance business effectiveness and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Lead the execution of ongoing monitoring, testing, evaluating, and reporting on data risk, controls, and guideline requirements to assess rigour and consistency in the application of data risk lens.
    • Collaborate with the data community to ensure appropriate risk awareness, identification, and monitoring by recommending and assisting in implementing risk indicators and outcome targets to enhance business effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Provide functional guidance, advice, and expertise to peers and management by overseeing quality control of all data and reporting throughout the delivery life cycle by ensuring that risks are mitigated and that reliable, methodological, sound, and timely data, indicators, and analytical information are produced.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need an undergraduate degree in a related field such as computer science, business, finance, or commerce, and a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in IT risk, data governance, data management, risk management, or IT audit. An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered. You should also possess superior oral and written communication skills in English, including strong presentation skills and ability to persuade, influence, and/or negotiate with colleagues, clients, and senior management.
