Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wholesale Buyer to join our team at PhoneBox. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms, and overseeing the distribution of merchandise to our outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms
  • Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand
  • Review requirements of the establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring quality and price competitiveness
  • Supervise the work of other buyers to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in wholesale buying or procurement
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with MS Excel and other spreadsheet software
  • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the success of the company
