As a key member of our team, the Server Position - Great Canadian Entertainment will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction in a professional manner. This role requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests in a professional and positive manner.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items available.
  • Restock, clean, and organize all related work equipment and areas.
  • Process all cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and balancing of sales and/or cash float at the end of the shift.
  • Clear dishes, empty, and clean tables properly.
  • Ensure all tables and chairs are set up and organized in the section.
  • Assist other co-workers as needed and/or as requested.
  • Understand and follow opening and closing server duties.
  • Comply with all alcohol-related house policies, practices, and Smart Serve guidelines.
  • Monitor and communicate all beverage alcohol activities at break and shift end.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize tables, refrigerators, side stands, and other equipment in the work area.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of food and beverage equipment as required.
  • Adhere to all AGCO, GCGC, departmental, and HR policies as they relate to functions of the role.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health, and safety, and other statutory regulations.

Education and Qualification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent working experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of serving experience in a high-volume establishment.
  • Valid Smart Serve Certificate required.
  • Previous cash handling experience required.
  • Previous system experience an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required.

Work Environment Considerations:

  • Fast-paced with multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables; exposure to some conflict, distress, and noise.
  • This role requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting up to 45 lbs.
  • This role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to the business needs of a 24-hour operation; will have non-traditional work hours including evening and weekend shifts.
