Job Description

Conair Group Inc is a leading provider of aerial firefighting services, operating a fleet of specialized aircraft to combat forest fires worldwide. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Aerial Firefighting Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to join our Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform aircraft maintenance, repair, inspection, and modification under the supervision of experienced engineers.
  • Adhere to Conair's safety regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of aircraft maintenance and repairs.
  • Develop skills and knowledge to acquire a Transport Canada (T.C.) license.
  • Participate in field assignments, including deployments to support operational aerial firefighting fleets.
  • Develop basic knowledge of Conair's information technology systems.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of aircraft services and maintenance requirements.
  • Understanding of safety measures and protocols within the workplace.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations.
  • Capacity to take instruction, listen, and follow direction.
  • Skilled in working with tools, sheet metal, and mechanical and power machinery.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and promote a positive work atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) related to aircraft maintenance.
Education and Experience:
  • Grade 12 diploma.
  • Successful completion of AME category M training course from a Transport Canada Approved Training Organisation.
  • Mechanical experience or aptitude is required.
  • Advancement based on satisfactory performance.
