Principal/Distinguished Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal/Distinguished Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a deep understanding of competitive landscape for data processing and serverless infrastructure in cloud.
  2. Design and develop a framework/engine for the next-generation data + AI system.
  3. Analyze user scenarios to optimize software system solutions.
  4. Stay up-to-date with new technologies (parallel, distributed systems, large-scale data analytics system, etc.) and share knowledge with the team.
  5. Generate innovative ideas and new patent applications.

Requirements:

  • Deep domain expertise in one or more of the following areas:
  • AI end-to-end data processing, scenarios, and system optimizations.
  • Core database internals component (query optimization, runtime, scheduling, storage engine, transaction processing, etc).
  • Large-scale data processing (Flink, Spark, Presto, etc).
  • Big Data storage technologies (HDFS, Columnar Database, etc).
  • Scalable Key-Value store (Rocksdb, LevelDB, Redis, etc).
  • Serverless platform infrastructure.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Telecommunications.Master's or PhD in relevant area is an asset.Experience leading teams and products to generate business impact and customer success stories is an asset.Able to lead and mentor team on design/technical skills including data structures, multi-threading, concurrency, performance optimizations, etc. is an asset.
