Job Summary:
As the Camp First Cook at Redrock Camps, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our clients. This is a key role that requires strong leadership, culinary expertise, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Daily Kitchen Operations: Oversee the daily activities of the kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen is run efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory counts and stay within budget when ordering food and supplies.
- Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious and delicious meals for our clients, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.
- Cleaning and Safety: Ensure that the kitchen is clean and safe at all times, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Food Safety and Quality Control: Maintain a high level of food safety and quality control, ensuring that all food is handled, stored, and served safely.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the culinary team, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standard.
Requirements:
- Culinary Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in culinary arts and kitchen management.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Food Safety Certification: Hold a valid food safety certification, such as a Journeyman or Red Seal certificate.
