We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at Izakaya Tenkuu. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure optimal efficiency and profitability.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs in new cooking techniques and equipment, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals and specialty foods, adhering to our culinary standards and presentation guidelines.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff on food preparation, cooking, and handling procedures.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of organization and reliability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Permanent work term and 35 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
