Nursing Care Support Specialist

At Romko Residences LTD, we are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with serving meal trays and feeding patients.
- Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients safely and efficiently.
- Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments.
- Maintain patients' rooms, including making beds and ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.
- Supervise patients' exercise routines and provide support as needed.
- Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as required.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure that all necessary equipment is available.
- Bathe, dress, and groom patients with dignity and respect.
- Transport patients between care facilities and within the facility.
- Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Respond to call signals and determine patients' needs promptly.
- Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas.
- Administer first aid in emergency situations, following established protocols.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Work under pressure to meet the needs of patients and the facility.
- Perform repetitive tasks, such as taking vital signs and assisting with daily living activities.
- Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Develop attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Ability to distinguish between colors and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Combine sitting, standing, and walking to move around the facility and respond to patient needs.
- Client focus: prioritize patients' needs and provide individualized care.
- Dependability: maintain a regular attendance record and be punctual for shifts and meetings.
- Efficient interpersonal skills: communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Excellent oral communication: articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely.
