About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Harvesting Labourer to join our team at 2306422 Alberta Ltd. as a Crop Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal growth and development of crops in our greenhouses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crop Management: Monitor and control water saturation, light, and temperature levels to promote healthy crop growth.
  • Greenhouse Maintenance: Clean and maintain the greenhouse environment to prevent the spread of disease and pests.
  • Harvesting and Handling: Harvest crops at the optimal time and handle them with care to prevent damage.
  • Planting and Irrigation: Plant seeds and seedlings, and irrigate crops as needed to ensure proper growth.
  • Fertilization and Pest Control: Apply fertilizers and pesticides as necessary to promote healthy crop growth and prevent pests and diseases.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment such as tractors and irrigation systems to support crop growth and harvesting.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Experience in agriculture or a related field is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and work in a physically demanding role.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Schedule: The work schedule is 35-40 hours per week.
