At Simply Sofaworks & More Ltd, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Garment Maker to join our team. As a Garment Maker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, made-to-measure garments according to customer and manufacturing specifications. Your tasks will include fitting, altering, and repairing garments as required, laying out, cutting, sewing, and pressing materials to make hats, and making, altering, or restyling fur garments and accessories. You will also be responsible for operating sewing machines or sewing by hand, selecting and modifying commercial patterns to customers' and clothing manufacturers' specifications and fit, designing patterns to fit measurements, and marking, cutting, and sewing fabric. In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess excellent oral communication skills, be organized, and have a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the garment industry.
