This fixed-term contract position will support the development and maintenance of undergraduate articulation, joint, and collaborative agreements. As a Transfer Pathways Specialist, you will aid in the operationalization and administration of these agreements and provide support to various units intersecting with undergraduate transfer. This role serves as a strong connection between Admissions and other internal units, including Office of the Vice-Provost & AVP, Academic; Academic Program Chairs/Directors; Student Recruitment; Academic Advising; and the Office of the University Secretariat.

  • You will identify opportunities for collaborations to encourage or support increased undergraduate transfer activity.
  • You will determine barriers and complications of proposed transfer agreements, affecting the successful transition of incoming students, and suggest appropriate solutions.
  • You will strengthen relationships and maintain frequent contact with college partners to facilitate long-term relations and constant student flow.
  • You will research competitor information and conduct ongoing research regarding transfer policy and process.
  • You will develop and regularly report on transfer credit assessment activity/trending data with complex criteria for decision making by senior management.
  • You will review data to identify potential metrics and key performance indicators that are established, met, and monitored.
Key Skills and Experience
  • A Bachelor's Degree, plus some post-graduate courses/experience.
  • Experience in admissions, student advising, and/or partnership development in a post-secondary environment (preferred).
  • Relevant experience advising Academic Chairs, College partners, and other university units about opportunities related to transfer pathways/receiving transfer credit.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of diverse national and international educational systems.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office 365 and Student Information Systems.
  • Proven ability to deal with sensitive and complex situations, ensuring confidentiality with information that has financial, political, regulatory, and reputational implications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural, customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills to interact effectively with applicants, staff, faculty, and external contacts.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $52,920-$90,720 per year. The benefits include Health & Dental Benefits: Comprehensive extended health, dental, and vision coverage. Pension Plan: Enrollment eligibility in the Brock University Pension Plan. Vacation: Up to 3 weeks per year, in addition to university holidays.
