Integration Support Worker

At Family Services of Greater Vancouver, we provide compassionate, client-centered care to vulnerable individuals and families. As a non-profit organization, we empower our neighbors to create positive change in their lives. Our team is dedicated to helping people develop skills and knowledge, and we're seeking a skilled Integration Support Worker to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
As an Integration Support Worker, you will work directly with children and youth who have developmental disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. You will formulate goals, action plans, and strategies together with clients and their caregivers, under the support and guidance of Coordinators and Managers. You will also increase each individual's independence through community-based recreational activities and provide support to the family from a client-centered approach.
What We Offer

You will have the opportunity to work part-time, with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, plus ongoing training. You will also have scheduled client direct time on weekends and after school, on the same day each week, for a minimum of 13 months. Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have two years of post-secondary education or training in child and youth care or a related field. You will also need to have demonstrated experience working with children and youth with developmental disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. You will need to be able to teach functional life skills in a community setting and maintain a client's safety in the community. You will also need to have a successful completion of a criminal record check and emergency first aid certification.
